Hi! I'm Genrey O. Cristobal a very passionate software engineer who loves solving problems.
At an early age, I was heavily exposed with computers. It started with just turning on and off settings in games to see what would happen, to modifying text files and .dlls to see what would happen to actually building software and business solutions.
My journey in programming started in 2020 when I was deciding what course should I take for my college degree. I was conflicted between Computer Engineering and Computer Science. I have tried the Harvard's CS50 Introduction to Computer Science course and I just fell in love with Computer Science. I'm in great debt of Sir David J. Malan for giving such an impactful introduction to computer science and also kick-starting my love and passion for solving problems.
My first language programming language is C and then C++ to now using actual technology stacks such as MEAN, MERN etc.
I have also gotten interested in Project Management in Software Engineering. I really love how I develop workflows to efficiently manage multiple developers at the same time. One of my main principle that I enact with my groupmates is the one that I have also learned in the CS50 class, which is ''... the code we write is not for ourselves but for others to read and understand''. I also apply standard practices in my groups and conduct formal meetings to attempt and immerse ourselves of working as a team.
Currently, I know that the road ahead is very far, rough and full of challenges. But looking back at the same road, I can also see that I have also gotten far.
Thank you very much for reading this! I hope that someday I am able to work with you!
